TO CHOOSE AND BE CHOSEN

Now I understand why people close their eyes when they kiss.
Kissing is so sensual that it is 80% emotions and 20% lips sucking.
I sigh with nolstagia, while savouring the last bit of mint taste left behind by Jeyden's kiss.
Oh! Sorry. I mean the love left behind by Jeyden's.
"Ouch!" I held on to my aching head and raised my head up to see the cause of my head ache.
Fortunately or unfortunately, the source of my pain was from bumping into a wall.
The wall I bumped into was no other than Jayden..
Yes...the Jayden.
"My Sweet Crush..." (I screamed mindlessly in my head).

Are your eyes under your feet? (he growled at me with annoyance)

"Oh! Sorry!" (I apologised with a false boldness).

I felt sad seeing his indeference towards me as he walked away.
My heart ached that I felt it was not my head that received the bruise, but my heart.
Even the lingering taste I thought was I had left in my mouth turned into a bad taste.

And yes...the whole kiss was a figment of my wonderful imagination.
how did those motivational speakers say it again?
Yes! "fake it till you make it or what you imagine is what you merge with".

"Why?"  (I wondered to myself)
"Just why is Jayden so nasty towards me..." (I said, asking no one in particular).

"Why does it seem as though i don't  deserve his attention or kind reaction?"
(I stress myself again...groaning in the pain of both my head and heart).
The truth is, Jayden is not a bad person.
He is a Handsome young man, with a sweet cat eyes. And a height of 8ft 6.

From far away where I stand and observe him, he is sweet and accommodating to his friends but whenever he comes in contact with me, he seems opposite.
If I were to think logically, I think he is trying to discourage me from liking him.
And I think it is time I stop.
Yes I like him. And maybe more than I would even admit to myself.
But, I deserve to love and be loved.
I know that I am a catch to whoever gets to be with me.
And I even chose to ignore others who liked me, just to pay attention to Jayden.
I have learned my lesson and I choose to grow with this knowledge.

What I observed in all this is that;
It is okay to like or love someone.
It is okay to choose them from amongst others.
Still, just like you liked and chose them amongst others,
They deserve the right to like and choose you intentionally and in their time.
They deserve the exclusive right to choose who will make them happy and remain with them.
As it is not a bad thing for you to like them, it is not also wrong or bad if they do not choose you.

They deserve to be happy, just like you too deserve to be happy.
Don't feel bad about it.
Rather be confident, as long as you remain true to yourself. Not change your good qualities, just to win over someone who is not interested in you.
Darling...
Stay true, grow and raise your head up.
Dearest, love on...live on.
The earth is filled with over 5billion humans, don't keep hurting and holding on illegally to just one person, when you have the opportunity to meet love and be loved by so many other persons.

Love is a choice and it is not forced.
We all will get those who will love us and choose us same as we do towards them.

Our hearts will heal...we will love again and all gonna be Okay.

  1. Must admit, this is a beautiful piece. We often love, hoping to be loved in return but it could be frustrating to love and not be loved in return.
Like you rightly said, we must be ourselves always trusting that someday we will find love too just the very one we deserve.
