WHAT IS AN OPENED SOCIETY?

Open Society was described by Henry Bergson as a society that accepts and embraces all humanity. Karl Popper, further developing the idea adds that an Opened society is internally Democratic in nature, where Citizens are free to constantly and critically question or rethink accepted truths. This clearly leads us to Human rights.

WHAT IS HUMAN RIGHTS?

HRs are the birthrights of humans by being humans and thus is inherent in all humans as inalienable rights, to be protected within and beyond the state.

WHAT ARE THE LINKS BETWEEN HUMAN RIGHTS AND OPEN SOCIETY?

The link between Opened society and the HR is that,

-They both upholds the rights of the human being to be free and protected within the state and Globally. This clearly checks the activities of Government against Totalitarianism, which is seen as a closed society, of which dangerous ideologies of Nazism, communism seem to monopolize and controle human rights and behaviors within a territory.

-Another link of an opened society with HR is that, Human Rights serves as the legal and moral weight to state power and the protection of persons within a state and globally. This protection is legally entitled to all humans despite their groups.

-Also, an opened society according to Popper, is hinged on democracy, while The Echr went further to legally sustain the goal by proving and adding that, democracy is only effective with the rule of law and human rights.

I was once close to a lady who suddenly began to belittle me, creating a clique to join in. I introspected to see if I had triggered this opposition, but found no fault on my part. Instead, I chose to focus on understanding their motivations. The lady who initiated the drama had recently gotten married and now felt superior to unmarried women.
